HOW TO ORDER WITH QKR
• Download Qkr! and create your account.
• Find Chapel Hill State School.
• When creating your child's profile, select NEW STUDENT as the class (at the bottom of the class list).
• Use the sizing chart in this guide to record the best fit, then order in Qkr! or buy in person.
• Once your child is allocated a 2027 class, update their Qkr! profile so future orders go to the correct classroom.
What does my child need?
FORMAL UNIFORM
• Dress OR check shirt with shorts/skort
• Zip jacket
• Reversible bucket hat
• Plain white or black socks
• Plain white or black shoes
DAILY UNIFORM
• Polo shirt AND shorts or skort
• Zip jacket
• Reversible bucket hat
• Plain white or black socks
• Plain white or black shoes
Children may choose which uniform they prefer. Formal Shirts and dresses are to be worn on Class Photo days and when going on excursions.
Sun safe shirts in house colours (green, yellow or blue) are worn with uniform shorts/skorts for Cross Country, Athletics and Swimming Carnivals.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many sets of uniforms do I need?
• A good starting point is at least 3 sets. Add more once your child decides which style feels most comfortable.
• Aim for enough sets to suit your normal washing routine - for some families this is 5 sets, for others 2 or 3.
• A second jumper is useful so your child can stay warm if one goes missing.
• Two hats are recommended because CHSS has a 'no hat, no play' policy. Keep the spare in the bottom of the school bag.
Do I need to label uniforms?
• Yes - especially hats and jumpers. Clearly label items with your child's first name and first initial of surname and current class. Encourage your child to put removed hats/jumpers inside their bag or classroom tray.
What about cold weather?
• The Uniform Shop stocks zip-up jackets and long-sleeved polo shirts with the CHSS logo.
• Plain navy leggings, navy tracksuit pants and long-sleeved T-shirts may be purchased elsewhere. They must be plain navy with no patterns or logos and worn as permitted under/with the school uniform.
Is there second-hand uniform stock?
• Good-quality second-hand uniform items are $5 each, subject to donated stock.
• Second-hand items cannot be ordered in advance because of availability changes.
• The Uniform Shop welcomes donations and upcycles unsellable uniforms into accessories and other items for sale.
UNIFORM SHOP & COLLECTION INFORMATION
• General term opening hours: Mondays, 8:00 am - 9:30 am (excluding public holidays).
• EFTPOS is preferred; cash is also accepted.
• Qkr! orders are packed and delivered to your child's classroom on the first school day of the week during school terms. Weekly orders close at 12am each Sunday.
• Exchanges are welcome where tags remain attached and garments have not been worn or washed.
• The Uniform Shop will also open in the week before the 2027 school year to coincide with Prep Open Classroom/meetings. The exact January date is still to be confirmed.
• All Uniform Shop profits support CHSS P&C projects and facilities for students.
