Book Week 2026 – A Symphony of Stories
📚🎶 We're excited to celebrate Book Week 2026 with this year's theme: “A Symphony of Stories"! Two fantastic events are planned, and we invite all students, parents, and carers to join in the fun.
Book Week Parade
Our annual Book Week Parade is a highlight of the school calendar!
📅 When: Monday, 24th August (please note the change from Wednesday due to Singfest)
📍 Where: School Hall
👗 Theme: Dress as your favourite book character or something inspired by this year's theme, “A Symphony of Stories".
⏰ Parade Times:
- Prep – Year 2: 9:15 am – 10:15 am
- Year 3 – Year 6: 10:15 am – 11:00 am
📚 Bring Your Book: Students are encouraged to bring a copy of the book their character is from, if possible, to share with their friends and teachers.
👨👩👧👦 Parents Welcome: Parents and carers are warmly invited to attend and enjoy the parade.
☕ Coffee Shop: The P&C will be running a coffee shop during the parade, so you can enjoy a coffee while watching the fun!
Book Swap – Year 6 Fundraiser
Support our Year 6 students by participating in the Book Swap!
📅 When: Thursday, 27th August 3:10pm - 4:30pm
📍 Where: Conference Room 2/MIPY Room (in the Library/Resource centre)
💰 Entry Fee: $2
How it works:
- Students can bring in pre-loved books to the library during the week leading up to the event. For each book they bring, they'll receive a token.
- On the day of the Book Swap, students can use their tokens to exchange for new-to-them books.
- All proceeds from the event will go towards the Year 6 fundraiser.
